seagull: !!! There’s one of those, made with yellow plastic strings, on the UT campus! I pass by it every day on my way to work and may or may not have ridden my bike through it a few times. I wonder if it’s the same artist.
That’s so awesome! I love installation art! Makes me want to drive down to Austin (more than I already do!)

Because you care..

I’m hard-core recovering from a crazy 16-hour work day yesterday… Should be napping but I’m tumbling instead (obviously). Yesterday, the end of my FOURTH week of work (& TX), was a unique one. I: Accumlated my first hours of comp-time; found out I had “fans” (student staff who took photos with me that could very well be floating around facebook (or equiv.) right now); totally did not eat any kind of regularly-scheduled meals; broke my phone (I’m overly distraught, I know.. but it’s contributing to homesickness); drove to Waffle House with no headlights on (because I was so tired - not a good idea when you have an expired registration sticker on an out-of-state plate, though) & stuffed my face alongside my security-blanket fakefriend (all the while reminiscing (in my head) about my last early-morn Waffle House adventure, 2 years prior); witnessed drunkies passing out left & right (whereas I was nearly passing out not from too much fun but too much non-fun) & stealing a napkin holder (strangest ever); tried to stay awake during an hour+ drive home at 4am; collapsed & passed out on the couch with the lights on in my clothes for the THIRD night in a row; was awoken by a 3-year-old approx. 2hrs after passing out…

apparently, because of the prior days’ adventure, my body woke up before my mind because I then had one of the WORST attacks of a Charlie Horse cramp that I’ve ever had in my life

I’m tumbling about this now because I’m still in pain, I’m still tired, I still miss my phone, AND I just realized that one of my toes on my right foot is getting STUCK in strange positions. I realize this is an odd tumblr topic, but, MAN, I need to go get some Vitamin K, because this charlie horse cramp adventure is the worst ever, when it’s still affecting me 10 hours later & making the rest of my body all wonky

But really, I should nap before the babies get home. That’s why they left, after all…
